Bell & Ross Launches BR 05 Copper Brown Watch

Bell & Ross has always been an expert in manufacturing instrument panel-inspired timepieces. Their square-shaped cases with circular bezels have become a look that can’t be mistaken for anything else. In fact, you can be sure that if you enter a room when wearing one, you won’t go unnoticed. The brand has experienced success after success in developing vintage aviation watches and square-shaped tool watches for pilots for many years. Yet when the BR 05 watch arrived in 2019, it brought with it a notably modern and curvaceous look. Since then, Bell & Ross has been extending upon this collection, growing it gracefully by adding timepieces in different dial colours and case materials like this BR 05 Copper Brown watch featuring a robust stainless steel crafted case and a visually appealing dial in dulcet tones of brown and copper.
Since the BR 05 watch has been growing, Bell & Ross have been adding variations with chronograph functions, GMT complications, skeletonised models and more of the simple three-handed dial watch designs. It’s this three-handed style that is used for the fairly new Bell & Ross BR 05 Copper Brown watch. The time and date model is simple and understated but at the same time a sure talking point when enjoying a pint or two with the lads. In that same thread, the BR 05 Copper Brown watch can be enjoyed for more practical duties like work, travel or whilst on vacation. The warming dial colour was a perfect choice during the autumnal months but can equally look the part on the wrist during the summer – its golden burnt orange colour reminiscent of a sunset, actually.
What’s important to note about the recently released Bell & Ross BR 05 Copper Brown watch is that its softly rounded corners are still very much squarish in shape. The bezel has received a brushed effect across its surface, perfectly framing the copper brown qualities of the dial in a way that is different to any watches currently in the BR 05 watch collection. The edge of the bezel has also received a polished bevel, neatening its proportions nicely. Should the Bell & Ross BR 05 Copper Brown watch be subjected to any unwanted knocks and bumps, the case has been designed with a screw-down crown and a crown protection guard at 3 o’clock. This feature works in conjunction with the robust qualities of the case and a sapphire crystal glass front to ensure a dry environment for the watch’s automatic movement to perform within. The sapphire crystal glass front is incredibly scratch resistant and is second hardest to a diamond, whilst its surface has also been treated with anti-reflective properties to ensure a glare-free glance into the Copper Brown dial at any time.
The Bell & Ross BR 05 Copper Brown watch is integrated with 100-meter water resistance making it ideal for a splash or two in the pool. The warm, luxurious feel of the watch’s dial is enhanced by a set of legible hour markers presented in a mix of slim stick markers and elegant Arabic numeral hour markers. As promised, the date feature takes up its usual residence at 3 o’clock, providing a great little feature for tracking the passing days of each month. The central hour and minute hands of the BR 05 Copper Brown watch have also been treated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced readability at night. The model is powered by the Bell & Ross BR-CAL 321 - a more than capable engine for providing a power reserve of 42 hours. It performs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Like other BR 05 watches, it features a skeletonised rotor and allows for a quick-set date feature that can be activated through the crown. The stop second function is activated once the crown is pulled out.
To finish its sporty elegant look, the Bell & Ross BR 05 Copper Brown watch is fitted on the option of a durable stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp or a supple brown rubber strap and a stainless steel folding clasp engraved with the Bell & Ross logo.
