The Nomos Glashutte Minimatik Nachtblau Neomatik Watch Review
Friday - 10 February 2017
Nomos Glashutte are drawn to the poetic elegance of the colour blue. A refined shade that is associated with the sky and sea that run for infinity beyond the eye can see. The beautiful hue transforms Nomos Glashutte’s award winning models - Metro neomatik, Tangente nematik and Minimatik.
Welcoming a midnight blue dial the watch face brings a sense of warmth and tranquil to each design; a contrast to the typical crisp white. The hue transports the wearer to the night sky canvas allowing for the delicate dots, rounded numbers and fine hands to become the focus - a familiar feeling as the stars subtly illuminate the silky blanket. A pop of colour demands attention with the neon orange seconds hand drawing the eye to the sub dial at 6 o’clock.
The sophisticated elegance of the new blue dial echoes the exquisite interior - let’s not forget the ultra-thin automatic caliber DUW 3001; the movement responsible for the slender, refined case being only 3.2 millimetres tall! The beautiful slim calibre also brings the highest performance and accuracy to the watch design allowing for Nomos Glashutte to showcase extraordinary timekeeping.
Nomos’ velvety midnight blue dial allows for the exceptional models to explore a new character without loosing their identity. The designs are obviously very much a part of the Nomos family yet standout with a new persona; a well considered, poetic timepiece that compliments the collection effortlessly.
