Released on the spookiest week of the year, SevenFriday release the third edition of the Kuka III. Dressed in pumpkin orange, the new design is sure to be a hit following the success of its two predecessors. Intent on breaking boundaries in the watchmaking industry, this daring and statement piece is no different.
The Kuka III embraces it’s industrial robot roots with the grooved black animation ring that resembles the gripper like extensions on the end of a robot’s arms. Taking cues from the automation company, Kuka whose signature colour is the bold orange that the SevenFriday model wears so well; an apt pairing for the precision obsessed brands who are fascinated with industrial, mechanical design. The like-minded collaborative duo both seek innovative, visionary ideas in their respective fields becoming successful worldwide.
Limited to 750 pieces, the exclusive powerful design embraces the SevenFriday signature style that has become a cult classic in the industry. The distinctive layered dial embraces the orange and gunmetal design. The tip of the orange hour hand is filled with Super-Luminova as is the minute disc tip. As a nod to the 24 hour factory cycle, the fourth AM/PM disc features gun metal indicates daylight hours and orange refers to the night time hours. A glimpse into the mechanical heart of the robot inspired machine is offered via the matt orange skeleton plate at 7 o’clock.
Fasten the bold design with an orange silicone strap that features black assembly line stitching. Turn over the instrument to reveal the SevenFriday logo stamped on the inside.
