NEW Tissot PRX Mens Watch Collection Unveiled

The Swiss watch manufacturer's first release of 2021, the incredible new Tissot PRX Mens watch collection is a throwback to a flagship design from 1978. Combining a remarkable integrated case and bracelet, a super slim stainless steel profile, a curved and carefully polished bezel and resilient scratch resistant sapphire crystal, this new range of men’s dress watches gives rise to a whole new meaning of masculine elegance.
The 1970’s was a significant era for luxury watchmaking, not only as the beginning of the quartz crisis which saw a major decline in the production of automatic timepieces, but the aesthetics of watches changed too. Individuals wanted more precise, low maintenance timepieces that looked sleek and contemporary on the wrist. As they’ve always done since their founding in 1853, Tissot adapted quickly to the changes and delivered a stunning series of Tissot quartz watches with slim cases and integrated bracelets. With the new PRX Men’s watch collection, Tissot pays homage to these very designs as well as the brand’s enduring eye for ingenuity.
Delivering a modern aesthetic with a touch of vintage appeal, the Tissot PRX Men’s watches are presented with 40mm tonneau-shaped stainless steel cases which widen slightly as they near the edge of the integrated bracelet. Defined by the absence of lugs, the case seamlessly blends into the bracelet’s first link and delivers a fluid, contemporary finish reminiscent of the Tissot watches of the 1970’s. Both the case and bracelet are finished with vertical-brushing and paired with a thin, curved and carefully polished bezel that at first appears to provide a perfect circle around the dial but is actually oval in shape.
There are three Tissot PRX watches to choose from, each exact in their case and bracelet design but different in their dial colourways. Protected by scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, the dials are available in blue sunray, black sunray and silver-grey brushed. The first two variants in black and blue are detailed with luminescent indexes and hands in stainless steel to complement the rest of the case and bracelet while the last model, with the silver dial, delivers a slightly more retro-inspired look with rose-gold coloured indexes and hands.
Keeping in line with the historic Tissot watches from the 1970’s, the Tissot PRX Men’s watches house Swiss-made quartz movements for optimum precision and convenience. Each timepiece is home to the ETA F06.115 calibre which delivers 3 jewels, central hands for hours, minutes and seconds, a date window at 3 o’clock and a special end of life indicator. Protecting the movement is a screw down case back which also assists in the design’s water resistant rating of 100 metres.
