New Breitling Avenger, Super Avenger and Night Mission Watches Have Landed at Jura Watches

Take a look at the new offerings from Breitling’s tool-like Avenger watch series.

Of all the Breitling watches on offer, the Avenger series seems to combine the features of a pilot’s watch and a dive watch together the best. The watches from this collection promote legibility and robustness first and foremost, no matter whether you’re referencing the watch day or night. The Night Mission watches are even more stealthy looking. They are streamlined and reinvigorating to wear. The dark-coated cases are stealth-like and they are ready to take on any challenge thrown in their way.  We’re going to provide you with a round-up of the latest Avenger, Super Avenger and Avenger Night Mission watches to have been released by Breitling, one of Switzerland’s most revered watchmakers.

The Avenger – A Tool Watch for Every Environment

Recently, Breitling has extended the Avenger and Super Avenger watch lines, including the Night Mission design. The releases comprise two from the Super Avenger sub-category, bearing a daring 46mm diameter, three from the 42mm sub-category and a Night Mission watch. Their wide-stepped bezels, prominent crown guards and striking hour markers are among the many attractive features of the popular Avenger watch series – each one offering something a little different from the next. These new Avenger watches are surprisingly noticeable.  Their striking aesthetics can be picked out from across a room. Still, wearer comfort is at the forefront of the design, with a smooth underside that connects effortlessly with the skin. Brushed finishes throughout the collection give these watches a military-inspired look, while carbon-coated versions shine under the light in deep anthracite and jet-black nuances. 

Breitling experts equip these new Avenger watches with stellar luminosity. The numerals, hands and dot markers have all received a layer of luminescent material that enables the wearer to reference the time whether in the dead of night, on a tactical mission, or while exploring. The finishing of these luminous features, together with a 300-meter water-resistant case, make for the perfect tool watch in every sense of the word. Let’s look at these new models in more detail. 

The Super Avenger B01 Chronograph 46

The two Breitling Super Avenger B01 Chronograph 46 watches are absolute beasts. Packed full of masculinity and boasting a chiselled and defined aesthetic, the two models include a 46mm black dial version and a stunning teal colour with black-filled chronograph counters. Both models feature the chronograph sub-dials at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, offering 30-minute, 12-hour, and running second functions. Around the outside edge of the dial is a detailed minutes and seconds track, while the seconds hand itself is tipped with a viable red triangle. As already mentioned, the hands and baton hour markers are generously lined. They sit underneath a strong piece of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass, which offers optimum protection over the surface of the dial. 

Built for exceptional resilience and next-level functionality, the black-on-black and teal models evoke a modern aviation style. Built from titanium, the cases are lightweight, ergonomically formed and promise constant comfort throughout the day and night. A choice of military leather straps and a three-row titanium bracelet are available for these models. Of course, the Breitling logo acorns the surface of the clasp, doubling up as a symbol of technical excellence and authentic craftsmanship 

The Avenger B01 Chronograph 42

The 42mm watches from the new lineup are more compact and, of course, more manageable for smaller wrists. These, too, benefit from the lightweight properties of a robust case and feature an anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass front. The three variations include a black dial with red accents on the 30-minute counter, a rich blue dial with black-filled chronograph counters, and a stunning emerald green colour with black-filled chronograph counters. These versions are crafted from robust stainless steel and come on a choice of a black, blue, or green calfskin leather strap respectively. A textured pattern on the surface of these bands, a little like a waffle effect, adds a further layer of detail and depth to these designs. Of course, if you’d rather opt for something a little dressier, the stainless steel bracelet option will enable you to wear this watch for more formal occasions, like a suit, for example. These watches are powered by the Breitling Manufacture 01 movement, which performs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides an impressive 70-hour power reserve.

The Breitling Avenger Automatic GMT 44 Night Mission

The Breitling Avenger Automatic GMT 44 Night Mission is a stealthy, disciplined model that measures a 44mm diameter across the wrist. The watch combines straightforward date and time functions with a GMT complication, making for a great travel-friendly tool. The case of this new Breitling Night Mission watch is crafted from black ceramic and holds the Breitling 32 calibre at its centre. The movement, which offers second and third timezones, thanks to its rotating bezel, also delivers an impressive power reserve of 42 hours once fully wound. The white luminous GMT hand parades the dial effortlessly, along with the luminous central hour, minute and second hands. These all sit against an almost khaki-inspired dial texture. Around the outside of the dial is an additional 24-hour track for tracking home time, while current time can be followed using the main hour and minute hands. Breitling experts equip this watch with a deep green calfskin strap, though I could also see this pairing very easily with one of Breitling’s rubber bands.
