Amongst some of Messika’s most popular jewellery collections are the likes of the Gatsby, My Twin. Skinny and Toi & Moi collections, yet the most iconic of all would have to be the Move jewellery line, which incorporates a moving diamond concept. Messika was founded back in 2005 and was forged by an idea from Valerie Messika to reintroduce the classic diamond in a whole new light, making diamond jewellery designs not only incredibly contemporary but an option to wear every day of the week, whether a special celebratory occasion or not. Valerie Messika grew up around diamonds, having travelled the world with her father, Andre Messika to explore the beauty of diamonds and to learn the secrets of the trade. The Messika Move Romane jewellery series continues the concept of the moving diamond with precious stones that appear to float effortlessly, held into place by a double structure and a ribbon of gold on one side. These polished surfaces and alternating diamond-set ones create a captivating contrast against the skin. Whilst the scintillating sections have been meticulously pave set with small round brilliant-cut diamonds, the smooth polished lustre of the unadorned sections balance each Messika Move Romane jewellery design perfectly. Blending minimalist elements with structural sections, these innovative designs are some of Valerie Messika’s favourites. The Messika Move Romane rose gold diamond hoop earrings are available in 18t white gold or 18ct rose gold here at C W Sellors Jura Watches and feature a smooth band of polished gold complimented by a diamond pave side. The small round brilliant-cut diamonds create a magnificent display of fire and brilliance, as do the three larger single round brilliant-cut diamonds held inside rub-over settings. The diamonds are, once again, free to move up and down inside their track, uniquely refracting light with each natural movement created.
Mirroring this design and creating the perfect matching piece of jewellery to add to the earrings is the 18ct white gold Messika Move Romane diamond ring. Together, the strand of pave-set round brilliant-cut diamonds and the three single moving diamonds amount to a total weight of 0.30 carats. The stones are beautifully complimented by the contrasting smooth surfaces of a plain unadorned section, whilst the rest of the design is open, enveloping the circumference of the finger for a practical and ergonomic fit.
