British race driver Alastair Rushforth is the latest UK brand ambassador for Jorg Gray watches.
The partnership aims to promote Jorg Gray to a wider audience, with the brand logo appearing on Rushforth's MGZR 160 race car for the rest of the 2012 season.
"The parallels between motorsport and watches are clear: precision, excitement and passion," said Nick Underwood, national account manager for Jorg Gray. "At Jorg Gray our key phrase is 'define your time'. We feel Alastair is the very personification of that phrase in his determination to make his mark on the world of motor sport."
Rushforth began racing at 8 years old, starting with cadet karting as a child and working his way up to the MGCC MG Trophy Championship. He is now lead driver and team principle at Alastair Rushforth Motorsport, a team formed in 1989 by his father, Tony Rushforth.
As part of his ambassador role, Rushforth will wear a JG3500. The timepiece has a 45 mm case cut from solid steel, a blue glossed dial and an Italian crocodile leather strap with blue stitching. The watch is equipped with high precision MIYOTA 0S20 chronograph movement, scratch-resistant mineral crystal, date display and water resistance to 100 metres.
"I am really pleased to welcome such a premium watch brand as Jorg Gray to the team and look forward to working with them throughout 2012," Rushforth said.
