Lotus F1 Team's Kimi Raikkonen celebrated his second place finish at the European GP wearing a TW Steel watch.
Raikkonen finished second at the Valencia Street Circuit on June 24th, 6.421 seconds behind winner Fernando Alonso. It is Raikkonen's third podium of the season and the fifth for his team in 2012, but the former world champion driver was already looking forward to future success, saying: "I am never happy if I don't win."
TW Steel has been an official partner of Lotus F1 Team for three years, with logos featuring prominently on the cars, driver overalls, team uniforms and garage displays. A new collection of watches was launched in 2012 to celebrate the team's rebranding, with Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean showcasing the new models at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in early June.
“The Lotus F1 Team timepieces really speak for themselves, boldly mirroring the famous black and gold team colours," said Joost Rombout, Head of Global Marketing at TW Steel. "They’ve been extremely popular with fans and watch buyers looking for something distinctive yet affordable."
The TW Steel F1 Pilot case is available in two sizes: 45 mm or 48 mm, and is made from sandblasted PVD black coated steel. The watch includes a hardened mineral crystal, OS20 chrono movement and a black leather strap.
