The Dubois et fils DBF003-07 purposely chooses the rich British Racing Green colour for its dial.
The dark green hue has been labelled British due to it’s racing heritage! Its origin refers back to a time where each competing nation was asked to choose a colour for their racing cars. Italy picked red, Germany opted for white, France decided on blue and of course, Britain settled for green. Not long after the decision the luxurious green that became iconic to the British racing team and earning it’s cult title ‘British Racing Green.’ The rich, deep colour was soon injected into the wardrobes of British nobility and others of considerable wealth and importance.
Dubois et fils believe that the colour that oozes grandeur in a subtle and discreet way is the perfect addition for the sophisticated DBF003-07 model. The shade provides an air of elegance, importance and beauty as the platform for the silver indices, oversized arabic numerals and hour and minute hands. The British Racing Green is the perfect choice for the Limited Edition piece! The honourable high gloss green painted 40 mm dial is framed by a stainless steel case that embraces both matte brushed and polished surfaces providing a complimentary contrast. Peer through the double-sided anti-reflective sapphire glass to admire the exquisite dial that has a date display at 12 o’clock and seconds counter at 6 o’clock. The beautifully arranged dial that nods to the British racing legend is complimented by a dark brown leather strap that fastens securely to the wrist.
