Raymond Weil Watch Announces their First Female Ambassador
Wednesday - 27 May 2015
Raymond Weil is proud to announce their first female music ambassador. The luxury brand has appointed classical violinist - Nicola Benedetti MBE to honour the exquisite Toccata Limited Edition.
To mark the occasion Raymond Weil host an evening at the Savoy Hotel to launch the timepiece connected to the violinist. During the special evening Nicola beautifully performed Korngold’s Mariettas Lied and Elgar’s Violin Sonata for the guests. She was later joined live on stage by fourteen students from Jessop’s Primary School in Herne Hill, South London to perform a rendition of “Spring” taken from the first movement of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons; an addition that ensured the launch of the Toccata Limited Edition will be remembered by watch enthusiasts and musical minded individuals alike.
Both the watch brand and the professional violinist are proud to present the showstopper with its chocolate-brown stain strap and matching ironised dial with diamonds replacing the numbers and set into the rose gold casing; the diamond total reaches 91 to cement a truly magnificent aesthetic. Overall, the timepiece oozes elegance and glamour reflecting the inspiration behind the instrument. Nicola Benedetti is recognised as an incredible musician and a talent that the musically passionate brand is proud to be associated with due to her artistic reputation and dynamic presence.
Raymond Weil’s CEO, Elie Bernheim states: “We first met Nicola approximately three years ago at the Classic BRIT Awards and immediately became inspired not only by her extraordinary talent as a musician but also the wonderful philanthropic work that she undertakes on a daily basis. In September, we will unveil our partnership at retail through the launch of her special edition toccata timepiece. It has been a joy to collaborate on the design process with Nicola.”
Nicola describes her thoughts towards the alliance: “This collaboration is a personal choice for me. The Raymond Weil family have been dedicated supporters of music and the arts throughout their history, and CEO Elie Bernheim has a true understanding of its power. I am thrilled to partner with a company I feel so aligned with on so many levels.”
