To allow for the teams to familiarise themselves with the exquisite range of sports cars Nick and Giles attended the ‘Mini Miglia’ held in Scotland. The Jaguar Heritage collection hosts iconic sports and touring models that graced the finest roads in Scotland for the event. Chef and TV Presenter, James Martin joined Bremont’s Nick English, who of course led to their victory in the stunning Jaguar D-type ‘Long Nose.’ Jaguar Director of Design, Ian Callum and supermodel David Gandy were amongst the drivers who witnessed beautiful, picturesque scenery as them zoomed through the Scottish Highlands; an idyllic backdrop for the flock of automobiles. The drivers raced from Loch Lomond northbound on the A83 towards Inveraray Castle heading south along The Rest And Be Thankful before looping back. The route was mapped out by the Caledonian Classic & Historic Motor Sports Club (CCHMSC).
Giles English explains: “It is a real honour to have been invited by Jaguar to take part in the Mille Miglia as part of their team. Bremont is of course launching its Jaguar watch range this year so it’s a really lovely extension of the partnership and incredibly special for us to be able told drive such beautiful vintage cars in this iconic and historic race.”
Bremont has successfully launched a range inspired by the Jaguar E-Type, which at the 1961 launch was hailed to be the fastest production car in the world! The Bremont Watch Jaguar Lightweight E-Type MKI and the MKII are exquisite pieces that pay tribute to the stunning influence. It is an honour for the Bremont founders to have the opportunity to drive a striking Jaguar racing car to ensure the spirit is captured within each design and to strengthen the perfect pairing of two British brands.
