Frederique Constant Classics Business Timer Watch Review
Wednesday - 22 April 2015
Frederique Constant craft exquisite timepieces to add to their Classics Collection entitled the Business Timer.
The luxury brand strives to manufacture timepieces to an exceptional standard. Frederique Constant is recognised for their dedication to classical refinement, clean lines, reliability and durability, which is obviously apparent when not only analysing the specifications of the watch but of the appearance of the Business Timer. Each masterpiece is executed with precision and the upmost care to stay at the forefront of the industry with traditional watches.
There are two variants of the Classics Business Timer that adopt a similar visual aesthetic yet strive to be individual simultaneously. The first is bold and demands attention with oversized Roman numerals that are interrupted by three counters. One signifies the day of the week, the second measures the minutes and the third contains a Moonphase. The months of the year are marked framing the dial effortlessly. The colour combination of a white dial with blue, black and brown markings allow for the dial to be highly legible.
The second edition adopts a more sophisticated and subtle approach by keeping the dial minimal and on a smaller scale. The Roman numerals are smaller and sometimes replaced with a rectangular pointer allowing more room for the counters to sit proudly in the centre of the dial. The months of the year are abbreviated to a single initial and less colours give an elegant appearance.
Both serve to be functional with a classic style yet in slightly different ways. Choose from a yellow gold plated steel case with a brown crocodile strap or a silver steel case with a black strap. Both possess 60 months battery life and are water resistant to 6 ATM. The diameter measures at 40mm with Convex sapphire glass that the sophisticated dial sits behind.
