The beautiful Rado True Open Heart instrument was gracefully unveiled at Baselworld 2016. Since, the exquisite design has been awarded the 2016 Red Dot Product Design Award; an honour to commemorate Rado’s ability to innovate and creatively design a truly elegant masterpiece. The exclusive watch is manufactured to a limitation of 500 adding to the uniqueness of the splendid artistry.
The True Open Heart is devoted to luxury adopting a light, airy and delicate feel to the meaning of the word. The dial presents a dreamy, haze like interpretation of the intricate skeleton design with the ultra fine 0.2mm mother-of-pearl floating layer to blame for such a beautiful affect; a veil that subtly exposes the intricate inner workings of the genius Rado watchmaking minds with sophistication. The thin layer provides an array of soft, beautiful hues presenting the heart of the timepiece with such tenderness and admiration; a very different visual aesthetic that is appreciated with the design award.
To easily tell the time the indices are marked with precision and strength against the delicate background. The silver batons are emulated with the sharp hour and minute hands providing exceptional legibility. Available in a matt black or a polished white high-tech ceramic both designs portray the clean, light lines of the Rado True family. The white ceramic case and bracelet provides a brighter feel enhancing the dial tones whereas the black brings a softer quality to the design. Another glimpse of Rado’s breathtaking technical craftsmanship is displayed via the case back.
