The New Breitling Endurance Pro 44 and 38 Watches for 2024

Breitling has released some incredibly exciting timepieces so far this year. Some of the brand’s 2024 releases include the historically-inspired B70 Orbiter watch, the Navitimer 41 in new dial colours, a titanium Chronomat design, a Red Arrows 60th Anniversary special, a unique Triumph v Breitling Chronomat B01 model, and some beautiful rainbow-coloured Superocean dive watches. Joining these will be a slew of newly coloured Breitling Endurance Pro watches that now come in the choice of an extra 38mm size for smaller wrists or female collectors. The Endurance Pro is Tougher and Stronger than Steel

Breitling is a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer that never rests on its laurels. It is one of the few companies in the entire world that equips all of its movements with chronometer-certified status. But that’s not all. Back in 2009, Breitling ventured into the realm of in-house movement manufacturing. If the brand wasn’t already respected enough for its bold aviation watches and chronographs, making its own movements certainly changed things. One other triumph to mention is the company’s patented case material, Breitlight. We still know so little about the material, but it comes as no surprise that the brand wants to keep this revolutionary material under wraps. Breitlight is much tougher and stronger than stainless steel and is lighter than titanium.

In sports watches, many companies use stainless steel and titanium for the case materials. Titanium is renowned for its lightweight comfort and steel for its toughness. But Breitlight supersedes these qualities. It is hypoallergenic, non-magnetic, thermally stable, and impressively scratchproof. These are qualities all similar to carbon, although we may never know the true composition of this innovative Breitlight material. The New Breitling Endurance Pro 44 and 38 Watches

So, the first noticeable change to mention is the introduction of the smaller 38mm size. This is a comfortable size for any wrist measuring around 6-7 inches. The Breitlight case is not just a practical choice for the watch, either. Aside from its lightweight and strong qualities, it also has a textured surface that induces a masculine and technical feel. Alongside the new 38mm models is the more familiar 44mm case – a bold and daring size for the larger wrist.

The key characteristics of the new Breitling Endurance Pro watches for 2024 are their legible chronograph dials with crisp luminous markings, the recognisable B Wings Anchor design that resides at the top of the dial under the 12 o’clock marker, and the functional pulsometer scale on the outer edge of the display. The new watches also feature an innovative compass bezel, a rubberised crown that supports an easy grip under wet skin, a closed, sold caseback, and a new rubber strap that promises durability and longevity for all manner of sport-related activities.

The Case

As mentioned, the new 44mm and 38mm Endurance Pro watches come with a black Breitlight case and a screw-down crown to keep water out of the case. The rubberised crown is matched in a colour to match each respective model and is a standout feature that packs a ton more sportiness into the design. The 44mm models come with rubber straps and crowns in colours of dark blue, orange, white, blue and red, while the 38mm models come in shades of dark purple, pink, white, blue and red, the latter three of which will appeal to a male audience.

Each of the new models is 100-meter water-resistant and features a sapphire crystal glass front to protect the dial from damage, scratching, moisture, heat and debris. The compass scale on the bezel is bidirectional and designed for an easy grip. To use this feature, you simply align the hour hand with the direction of the sun. From there, find the mid-point between the 12 o’clock location and the hour hand, and that is your north location. The case also features a closed caseback, which protects the COSC-certified SuperQuartz movement within.

The Dial

The dials of the new Endurance Pro watches all resume their stealthy black colour. Plenty of Super-LumiNova has been chosen to equip these features, promising ultimate legibility for the wearer when referencing the time under pressure or in dark environments. The dials feature a 30-minute chronograph counter at 10 o’clock and a 12-hour totaliser at 2 o’clock. These counters are balanced by a small second function at the 6 o’clock location. The dials also feature a date window at 4:30 and a set of large oversized Arabic numerals. The pulsometer around the edge of the display is another handy feature for sport-related tasks. Simply count 30 or 60 heartbeats and read the seconds hand to determine your heart rate per minute.

The Strap

The newly designed rubber straps of these new Endurance Pro watches by Breitling are what give the models their energetic pop of colour. Fresh and sporty for the summer, they feature a tang-style buckle in black to match the rest of the case.
