Spiced pumpkin lattes… toasted marshmallows… bubbling cauldrons – you may love the Halloween season or you may hate it. But it doesn’t really matter. Because if you’re hardcore watch fans like us, you’ll be looking for any excuse possible to add a new timepiece to your collection (and no one’s judging here!). We’ve created a list of watches perfect for Halloween. From classic pilot’s watches to frightful delights that have a direct link to the spooky season – feast your googly eyes on these beasts and extend your collection this autumn without feeling even the slightest bit guilty.
Bell & Ross BR 01 Cyber Skull Bronze
There will be no shortage of ghostly skull décor in your home this Halloween with the bold 45mm Bell & Ross BR 01 Cyber Skull Bronze watch. Fans of the Swiss brand have had a fascination with this macabre theme for some time. The company’s inaugural skull watch was released back in 2009 and was named the BR 01 Skull. Bell & Ross then returned to the Skull theme in 2016, when it released the BR 01 Burning Skull, along with the Laughing Skull two years later. The latter boasted a captivating automation of a smiling skull on demand. Then, the Cyber Skull watch released in 2020 was an avant-garde design that captured the hearts of the brand’s cult-like followers once more. It broke the design codes with cut sides, sharp edges and an angular silhouette of a skull, visible in the centre of the dial beneath a sheet of sapphire crystal glass. The Bell & Ross BR 01 Cyber Skull Bronze is probably the most fitting iteration for Halloween 2023. Its rock and roll persona, finished in this alloy, is ideal for wearing with dressy attire and is certainly a watch that earns its attention well. The watch has been developed in a limited run of 500 pieces, making for a desirable piece to get your hands on this autumn. Its futuristic design is complex but at the same time, full of personality. Sitting underneath the bronze skull is Bell & Ross’ BR-CAL.210 Calibre, developed specifically for this model. Thanks to Bell & Ross’ determination to master such a unique design, manually winding the watch causes the jaw of the skull to awaken, springing to life before your very eyes and laughing in the face of death.

Not every watch has to be a spooky one this Halloween, but it helps if you get the colour code for the season right. It just so happens that green dial watches have never been more popular. Are you picking up on the pale pumpkin tones of this Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph? Of course, you are! In fact, you couldn’t unsee them now if you tried. The Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph may not have been the first watch that springs to mind when we talk about luxury watches for Halloween, but this classic yet subtly sporty chronograph design is perfect for adding undertones of the Halloween season to your wrist without going overboard. It features a 41mm polished stainless steel case and a design that is inspired by Will Breitling’s classic Premier watch from the 1940s. Its two-dial register is legible and distinctive of the Breitling chronographs of yesteryear with a 30-minute function at 3 o’clock and a small seconds function at 9 o’clock. Polished and applied Arabic numerals also add to its vintage look and are complemented by polished rectangular push-pieces on the side of the case and a refined 7-link stainless steel bracelet.

Like the colours of burning hell, the Oris Big Crown Pro-Pilot Coulson Limited Edition watch captures the spirit of Halloween with the colour of its dial alone. An amber-orange colour begins from the base of the dial and works its way up to a rich blood-red shade in the middle, finishing with a blackened edge towards 12 o’clock.
