New Watches & Wonders 2024 Release – The Bremont Supermarine 300M Watches

This is big news. At this year’s Watches & Wonders showcase, the Henley-on-Thames brand unveiled a new take on the Supermarine watch brand. And it’s making waves.

Bremont attended its first-ever Watches and Wonders event this year in Geneva. To mark the occasion, it launched some incredible models that certainly haven’t disappointed fans. As well as releasing some exciting new additions to the Terra Nova collection, the prestigious British brand has launched a new take on the popular Supermarine watch, equipping it with some features that not only enhance the sports watch on an aesthetical level but boost its performance capabilities out on the water.

The Supremacy of the Supermarine

At the back end of last year, Bremont’s CEO, David Cerrato talked about the core principles of the revolutionary Supermarine design and the latest modifications that the brand had added to the lineup until that point. The beliefs behind the Bremont Supermarine design have always remained the same. To push boundaries and to harness the spirit of adventure. To never give up and to achieve incredible things. In fact, it is this principle that has formed the foundation of Bremont the company itself.

The Supermarine began on British shores and expresses the birth of both the robust, enduring design of the dive watch and its creator. The company continues to shine the spotlight on the importance of testing these wristwatches in their respective fields. The 2023 versions of the Supermarine featured reworked numerals on the bezel, new colour codes for the dial and a new orange-coloured Supermarine name was added to match the tip of the GMT hand in the travel-friendly options. The sides of the lugs and the case had received a satin finish to ensure they were more scratch-resistant and all models offered the usual 300-meter water resistance. As well as a re-shaping of the cathedral hands, the 12 o’clock index had also been reworked. Its upside-down arrow shape is linked to the brand’s ties with the military and is unique to Bremont.

One of the executions boasted a dark grey-blue dial that was very in-keeping with the underwater environment that the Supermarine has been built to thrive in. Meanwhile, the blue and green colour palette chosen for another design gave the timepiece a fresh, new identity. A third edition, the Jet version, was inspired by the brand’s military history with beige-coloured elements against a black display. The S500 watch, with its strong and muscular design, featured a crown protecting guard and a GMT version that pays homage to the brand’s role in creating tools for travel. New numerals on the ceramic bezel are present, as is the upside-down arrow at 12 o’clock again.

The New Bremont Supermarine 300M Watches for 2024

The first thing to note about the newly designed Supermarine 300M watch by Bremont is that it comes in several variations. The collection has received an injection of new colour, whereby the bezels are a shade brighter than the dials themselves. Blue and green are the dominant colours here, each one on a choice of three straps.

The blue version of the Bremont Supermarine 300M features a dark captivating ocean-inspired colour for the dial, surrounded by a brighter blue for the bezel itself. As with all Supermarine watches, the bezel is bi-directional, meaning that it will only rotate in the counter-clockwise direction. The watch comes fitted on a newly designed stainless steel quick-release bracelet, a blue rubber strap, or a brown calf leather strap. The latter is a particularly striking design. The colour combination creates an almost vintage-inspired finish. The other option is the green variant where a darker shade sits on the dial, surrounded by a slightly brighter green bezel. Similarly to the blue version, this green Supermarine watch can be enjoyed on a steel bracelet, a green rubber band, or a brown leather strap. Both dials also have a subtle gradient effect.

The 904L stainless steel cases are now slimmer and sleeker. Both the crown and bezel have been implemented with guards to enhance practical operation when handling the wristwatch under heavy diving gear. While the crown is protected against knocks, bumps and snagging, the bezel will never accidentally extend the time either. The choice to equip these new Supermarine 300M watches with an aluminium bezel enables the brand to play around with more colour options.

The bezel is also knurled, like the crown, to ensure better handling under diving gloves and heavy equipment. The trapezoid markers at the cardinal points around the bezel, flow into the dial, while the eye-catching colours of the gradient dials enable the newly formed hands to stand out with prominence. Built around values of legibility, clarity and robustness, the new Bremont Supermarine 300M watches have been treated with lashings of Super-LumiNova material. The material glows with a rich emission in the dark or during the night, enabling time to be read accurately and at a glance.

It is not just the design of the dial that has seen changes, however. An entirely new bracelet has been designed from 904L steel. Those who are fans of the Breitling Rouleaux bracelet, designed for the Chronomat watch, will enjoy the new take on the steel band. The design, promoting fluidity and quality has been made exclusively for the new updated Supermarine watch. Its links are ergonomically crafted to sculpt effortlessly to the shape of the wrist, making the bracelet ideal for all sizes. The infinity-shaped links are executed in a mix of polished and brushed finishes. New military-influenced rubber straps and brown leather straps are also available, each option giving the watch a slightly different look.

Above all, one standout feature of the new Bremont Supermarine 300M watches is the newly designed brand logo. Together with this new case architecture that embodies “Land, Sea and Air”, the new, slightly bolder Bremont font now sits alongside a new compass-inspired logo. Upon flipping the back of the new Bremont Supermarine 300M watches over, you can admire a specially engraved caseback featuring a map of the world's oceans. The depiction emphasises the Supermarine’s spirit of adventure and the indispensable features of this robust sports watch. Behind the case is the reliable Calibre BE-92AO, which comprises 25 jewels and performs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations.
