Oris has renewed its long term partnership with the Williams F1 Team for an 11th season. The Oris logo will appear on the cockpit shoulders and front wing of the Williams F1 cars, on the driver's gloves and helmets, and on the team's overalls.
"The prestigious world of Formula One continues to be the perfect platform to promote Oris and renewing the partnership reinforces our long standing support and commitment to the Williams F1 Team," said Ulrich W. Herzog, Oris Executive Chairman. "As a purely mechanical Swiss watch brand we at Oris identify with the highly demanding racing environment and this dedication to quality and success."
Sir Frank Williams, Team Principal of the Williams F1 Team, said: "It gives me great pleasure when one of our existing partners renews their engagement with the team, especially when it is one of the longest standing relationships in our sponsorship portfolio. We very much look forward to continuing our relationship with them in the season ahead and I’d like to thank them for their continued support."
The Williams F1 team has inspired the design of a number of Oris watches, including the Oris TT1 Chronograph. Described as a "stunning and functional timepiece worthy of champions", the TT1 Chronograph is equipped with the Oris 674 calibre. It has a 45 mm steel and black PVD case, ceramic tachymeter scale top ring, and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside. The watch has three subsidiary dials for continuous seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours counter, date window, date corrector, fine timing device and stop-second function. It is water resistant to 100 metres.
