Britain's number one tennis player Andy Murray has been named as the latest brand ambassador for Rado watches.
The announcement was made ahead of the Aegon Championships, of which Rado is Official Watch Partner and Timekeeper. Andy Murray, who is currently ranked at number four in the world, will begin his title defence at the tournament.
“Andy Murray always stands out from the crowd with his distinctive playing style and unrivalled tactical intelligence," said Rado CEO Matthias Breschan. "Rado admires his true talent and perfectionism – and at the same time can identify totally with his 'racquet rebel' side.”
Murray will wear the Rado D-Star 200 Automatic, the official watch of the Aegon Championships. He will also become the face of the D-Star 200 collection for summer 2012.
“I’m really excited about joining the Rado team," Murray said. "The brand is all about edgy style and performance. Timing, precision and accuracy are vitally important for me, whether that relates to fitness drills, measuring my performance or striking a tennis ball.”
