Fortis B-47 World Timer GMT Watch Review

Fortis has revealed its new limited edition B-47 World Timer GMT watch.
The B-47 World Timer GMT is able to monitor three different time zones simultaneously with its specially engineered Fortis caliber F-2022. The first time zone is indicated by the centre hands; the second by a rotating blue dial disc; and the third by setting the bidirectional rotating bezel. The bezel is engraved with 24 city names to represent 24 different world time zones.
The rotating blue disc features an image of the earth seen from space, turning counter-clockwise to mimic the rotation of the earth. A red line represents the zero meridian in Greenwich, England, and an inner 24 hour scale indicates the second time zone on the rotating disc - allowing the current time of every time zone to be seen at a glance. The 15 red dots on the continents correspond to capitals engraved on the bezel.
The Fortis B-47 World Timer GMT will be available in two colours: silver and black. Both versions are limited to 2012 pieces to commemorate the year of the brand's 100th anniversary.
The case is made from steel and measures 47 mm. The watch is water resistant to 200 metres, and has a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides and screw-down glass case back. A blue silicon strap comes with the silver dial version of the watch, while the black model has a padded leather strap.
