Hamilton watches were presented to the players of the Harlequins Rugby Union team to celebrate a successful season.
Harlequins were crowned Aviva Premiership Champions for the first time after a 30-23 win over Leicester Tigers on May 26th 2012. A crowd of 81,779 attended the final at Twickenham Stadium.
As Official Watch Supplier and sponsor, Hamilton congratulated the team by giving a Khaki X-Wind Automatic to a number of players ahead of the final, saying that the luxury brand "looks forward to celebrating the club's continued successes, both on and off the field, for many seasons to come." Maurie Fa'asavalu, George Lowe, Chris Robshaw, George Robson, Sam Smith and Ross Chisholm each received a special watch for their contributions to the club.
The Hamilton Khaki X-Wind Automatic is the world's first drift-angle calculator in a watch, enabling pilots to accurately calculate and record crosswinds. The timepiece has a bi-directional exterior bezel and two interior rotating bezels to calculate wind and aircraft speed, and is equipped with Swiss-made Valjoux 7750 automatic calibre. It includes a chronograph with a 60-second, 30-minute and 12-hour register, day and date display at 9 o'clock, luminous dial elements, see-through case back and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass.
