Williams driver Pastor Maldonado wore an Oris watch as he won the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix.
It is Maldonado's first victory in only his second Formula One season, and the first win for the Williams F1 team since the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2004.
"It’s an unbelievable feeling winning my first race," Maldonado said. "The team has worked so hard all year and this win is for them. To be the first Venezuelan to win a Formula One race is a big honour and hopefully I will win more races in the future."
Oris has been Official Watch Partner of Williams F1 since 2003, with its logo featured on the front wing pillars of the cars, driver and mechanic overalls, driver gloves and team collateral. It was announced in February that the partnership would continue throughout the 2012 FIA Formula One World Championship.
Oris Executive Chairman Ulrich W. Herzog said: "Here at Oris we witness the ongoing dedication of the Williams F1 Team to achieve success, an attribute that we identify with and encourage as it reflects our own mission statement: real watches for real people.”
