Olympic High Jumper Ben Challenger Joins Graham Watches
Tuesday - 24 April 2012
Ben Challenger's high jump career spans over 20 years, and he is regarded as one of Britain's best hopes for a medal in London 2012. He has a personal best of 2.30 metres, and achieved a bronze medal in the 2002 Commonwealth Games, but injuries prevented him from competing at the highest levels for some time. He is now training hard to succeed in this year's Olympics.
Described by Graham as a "lively and charismatic character", Challenger is known to be a fan of luxury watches, attending the 2011 Salon QP event. "Meeting and working with the Graham team feels like being invited into a big family," the Olympic athlete said. "Excellent team spirit, extremely high quality watches and common interests - I look forward to the years to come."
Ben Challenger wears a Graham Chronofighter Fortress, a design that pays homage to the watches worn by the aircrews of RAF Bomber Command. Its calibre is G1742 with automatic column wheel bi-compax chronograph, 28'800 A/h (4Hz), Incabloc shock absorber, 28 jewels and a power reserve of 48 hours. The steel case measures 43mm and has a steel bezel, domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and see-through sapphire crystal case back.
