Breitling Watch Jet Team Announces USA Tour
Wednesday - 03 December 2014
The exceptional formation consists of seven L-39C Albatros planes flying at nearly 435 mph, sometimes within less than three metres of each other. These breathtaking flights have been performed in 36 countries across the world, with the team's "performance, daring and precision" making them the perfect ambassadors of Breitling watches.
The Breitling Jet Team has just completed a major European tour which saw them travel to Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, England and Poland. The tour included their first participation in the ILA Berlin Air Show; a flight with the Italian national Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team; and a flight in formation with the British Red Arrows aerobatic team, to celebrate its 50th anniversary. This successful program followed a 28,000-mile 'Asian Tour' in 2012, which included stops in Russia, China, South East Asia, South Korea and Japan.
Details of the Breitling Jet Team's 2015 American tour will be revealed at the International Council of Air Shows, taking place in Las Vegas on December 9th 2014.
Breitling has been a partner of aeronautics since 1884, when its famous onboard chronographs equipped the propeller-driven fighter planes in the Second World War. The creation of the Navitimer in 1952 further strengthened the brand's ties with the 'masters of the skies', and these iconic Breitling watches featured a circular slide rule that enabled all calculations relating to aerial navigation. The Breitling Navitimer soon became a cult object for pilots and has been continuously manufactured for more than 60 years.
