On the Wrist at LCM AW16
Tuesday - 19 January 2016
I don’t know about you, but during the London Collections Men I am always on the look out for the exquisite timepieces that are fastened to the wrist of the charming David Gandy, dashing Oliver Cheshire, sharp Tinie Tempah or swarve Oliver Proudlock sat entranced on the FROW. Catching a glimpse of the wristwatch as the style connoisseurs shirt sleeve reveals their choice of instrument is a revelation worth waiting for; a timepiece that certainly compliments their well polished suit or stylish urban look.
The task of finding that moment where their choice of device is just on show for the world to see is a joyous one for us enthusiasts at Jura Watches and we just can’t wait any longer to share our discoveries from LCM AW16.
Please note we aim to match a similar timepiece from our luxury collection of brands to the ticking device on the fashion leaders wrist!!!
Are you ready????
David Gandy
The gentleman chic style of LCM ambassador David Gandy, demands a classic, elegant and sophisticated design to cement his interpretation of fashion. Throughout the 4 day affair, he was noted to be wearing a timepiece that completed his smart attire perfectly. His marled grey waistcoat and trousers matched with a crisp white shirt, brown/black tie and tan trench coat witnessed Mr Gandy believing a minimal white dial with a stainless steel case and black strap would suffice. The sophisticated Bremont Watch ALT1-C Polished White will do the trick even with an outfit change to a greyish blue suit, black round neck tee, flecked brown flat cap and brown scarf; a watch deemed perfect for a range of attires.
Oliver Proudlock
Waiting for the Katie Eary show to start Proudlock wears a pair of white jeans teamed with a white hoody, and navy bomber jacket for a relaxed look. To finish the outfit effortlessly, he opts for a statement gold watch to match his long chain necklace. The Rado Watch Centrx L with a gold case, bracelet strap, hands and indices on a black dial will certainly achieve the edgy, urban look. Sitting next to Oliver Cheshire in a similar casual yet stylish outfit (I hope everyone got the memo) we couldn’t quite see his timepiece under his tan wool coat - there’s always next time!!
Tinie Tempah
Tinie Tempah’s attitude to style is to mix tradition with contemporary ideals; teaming white sneakers with with formal suits has become a familiar fashion trait. This year the LCM ambassador steps out in a tailored grey suit, white shirt, natural tie, white trainers and a classic rose gold timepiece with a bracelet strap and a minimal dial; a classic, exquisite piece to compliment his attire. We can’t help but think of the Longines Watch Conquest Classic - a similar wristwatch with a modern yet traditional aesthetic.
Oliver Cheshire
Ahhhh - we got him!! Oliver takes a similar approach to Tinie Tempah with a rose gold and stainless steel bracelet and bezel yet the dial takes on a black hue; a sharp, strong watch to compliment his relaxed attire. Get his look with the Breitling Watch Chronomat 44 - a strong, masculine sports watch taking performance excellence extremely seriously!!!!
So, whose watch look resonates with you???
