Hamilton Watch Hosts 6th Behind The Camera Awards
Tuesday - 23 October 2012
The Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards were created to celebrate the talent behind the scenes on a film set. "A costume, a prop or a poignant phrase in the movie script, or a camera capturing the right move, are all key factors contributing to the overall success of a movie," the brand says. The 2012 awards ceremony will be held on October 28th in Los Angeles, in collaboration with luxury lifestyle publication 'Los Angeles Confidential'.
The award winners are selected by a team of well-known professionals in the movie industry, choosing from films released during the year, as well as those presented at the Festival of the American Film Institute, and in Cannes, Toronto and Venice.
Hamilton is known as 'The Movie Brand' and has been involved in the film industry since 1951, when actors in the Oscar-nominated movie 'The Frogmen' wore the same Hamilton timepieces as the American soldiers during World War II. Since then, Hamilton watches have appeared in over 400 films, and the brand regularly works with directors, prop masters, costume designers and technical staff to design watches perfectly suited to the script and actors.
