Glycine Airman Base 22 Mystery Watch Review
Tuesday - 02 October 2012
The distinctive Glycine Airman collection dates back to 1953, when pilots flying between Bangkok and Calcutta explained to a Glycine employee exactly what they needed in a frequent-flyer timepiece. The first Airman was developed and released in the same year, and became a pioneer of Swiss aviator watches.
The new timepiece in the collection is the Base 22 Mystery, a black watch designed for night missions.
The Glycine Airman Base 22 Mystery has a 42 mm stainless steel case with black PVD coating, a black dial with clear luminous elements, and sapphire crystal glass. The GMT version features three time zones and a red GMT hand. It is powered by a rhodanised ETA 2893 movement, and comes with a black NATO strap for comfortable wear. The watch has a mineral crystal case back and offers water resistance to 20 metres.
