Aimed at modern explorers and adventurers, the completely re-engineered Chronofighter Oversize collection has been "developed to survive in today's toughest environments". High-tech materials and processes ensure the watch is light to wear and durable.
The watch has a calculated telemeter scale that allows the wearer to measure distances through the speed of sound, by starting the chronograph when a visible event occurs (e.g. lightning) and stopping it when the sound is heard (e.g. thunder). The distance in kilometres is measured on the dial using the scale rim. As temperature influences the speed of sound, the calculations are based on the Earth's average temperature of 25°C.
The new Chronofighter Oversize collection includes a number of colour variations, each with a techno-fabric strap and ceramic pin buckle. Enhanced usability is provided by the new start and stop lever, made with a unique piece of carbon that has been put through a specific machining process.
The case is made from steel with black PVD and measures 47 mm, and the bezel is made from black ceramic. Features include Incabloc shock absorber, 100 metre water resistance, domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, and smoked sapphire case back. Movement is calibre G1747 automatic chronograph.
