American baseball player CJ Wilson is a new brand ambassador for Graham watches.
CJ Wilson is entering his seventh year as a Major League Baseball pitcher, and is the first baseball personality to be associated with the British watch brand. Graham believes its partnership with Wilson will "strengthen the brand's presence in worldwide sports culture."
Wilson was initially attracted to Graham due to its long motorsports heritage - the pitcher also owns CJ Wilson Racing, winning the 2011 Road Atlanta race in the SCCA Pro Racing MX-5 Cup. "I really like that Graham has connections to motorsports," he said. "For me, that sends the message that they're serious about precision and performance, not just style."
Graham believes its watches are "emblematic of CJ's drive for the perfect balance between performance and style on the field and into his daily life." Alongside his successful sports career, Wilson has also set up CJ Wilson Children's Charities, an organisation that supports children with chronic and terminal illnesses nationwide. The Dallas-based charity works alongside children's hospitals give comfort and hope to long-term patients.
CJ Wilson owns a number of Graham watches, with the Chronofighter Oversize Diver and Silverstone Stowe Classic models listed as his favourites. Speaking of his attraction to the brand, he said: "The Graham brand is bold, and for me standing out is important. I feel boldness - when combined with style - really sets more personality into each design element."
