Basel Review New Watches from B.R.M
Thursday - 15 March 2012
B.R.M has developed a series of watches inspired by three iconic vintage military aircraft: the Speedfire, the Mitsubishi Zero, and the P-51 Mustang North American.
The designs have taken direct inspiration from the aircraft's fuselage, including needles in the form of propellers. The series is available in brushed stainless steel, or stainless steel with black PVD.
Retail prices are approximately £4,530 for the brushed steel model, and £4,910 for the black PVD version.
Sport
Two new automatic watches have been added to the B.R.M Sport line: the V6 Sport and V12 Sport with skeleton dials.
The movement is visible through the reduced dial, making the new watches significantly lighter. The 44 mm case is stainless steel with black PVD, and the hour markers, hands and upper part of the movement are hand-painted with lacquer to match the sport colours.
Both models feature a calf leather strap with contrasting holes and stitching, and water resistance of 100 metres.
The V6 will cost approximately £3,200, while the V12 chronograph will be in region of £6,800. Both are expected in April.
Gulf
A limited edition square model has been added to the B.R.M Gulf series. The watch is available in two sizes, 37 mm or 41 mm, and is limited to 200 pieces each.
The case is brushed stainless steel with black PVD, and the black dial features a Gulf stripe and logo. The watch has automatic chronograph movement and a black calf leather strap with holes that match the Gulf colours.
The 37 mm model is available for approximately £5,500, and the 41 mm version for around £5,900.
