Edox watches were first brought to life thanks to the romance and talent of its founder, Christian Ruefli-Flury, who produced a pocket watch for the 25th birthday of his beloved wife. Amazed by his watchmaking ability, she convinced him to set up his own workshop which he named Edox, after the ancient Greek term for measuring time. The brand was the very first to design the original genuine world time watch, the Edox Geoscope, which told the time is fifty different cities around the world.
