Edox watches were first brought to life thanks to the romance and talent of its founder, Christian Ruefli-Flury, who produced a pocket watch for the 25th birthday of his beloved wife. Amazed by his watchmaking ability, she convinced him to set up his own workshop which he named Edox, after the ancient Greek term for measuring time. Over 150 years later, Edox watches continue to astound their wearers with their ingenious combinations of aesthetic grandeur and precise movements. The brand was the very first to design the original genuine world time watch, the Edox Geoscope, which told the time is fifty different cities around the world. Continuing to innovate, Edox released more collections like the Edox Grand Ocean watches with an increased water resistance and the Edox La Passion with its elegant and romantic designs inspired by the brand’s origin.
