The New Garmin Fenix 8 Watch Revealed - Everything You Need To Know

The new Fenix 8 smartwatch from Garmin has arrived and is now available to order here at Jura Watches. Here’s everything you need to know about the hugely anticipated release.

Be Limitless

The message behind the new Fenix 8 smartwatches is to “Be Limitless”. It exemplifies the most sophisticated Fenix watch technology and is geared towards those who want to get the absolute most out of a multisport GPS smartwatch. It also appeals to boundary-pushing individuals who like to test themselves to the limit. If you’re a serious athlete and outdoor-goer, the Fenix 8 smartwatch is definitely for you. With this watch, you’ll have no choice but to push yourself beyond your known limits and discover a new level of smartwatch technology while you do so. Suffice it to say, Garmin experts have literally thought of everything you may need when out on your ventures (think the Fenix 7 but even better). Of course, the Fenix 7 is still a more than capable smartwatch for this kind of outdoor pursuits. But if it’s time for an upgrade, the latest Garmin Fenix 8 is a no-brainer.

One of the key features of the new Garmin Fenix 8 watch is its crisp AMOLED display. The smallest of all three new models is the 43mm model, which features a 1.3” screen, while both the 47mm and 51mm sizes feature a 1.4” size. It features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens with a bezel in either steel or titanium for the smallest variant, or titanium for the two larger versions. The new Fenix 8 models also come with a built-in LED flashlight for improved visibility in the dark. Trek and hike with the Fenix 8 in the dark, and you’ll still be able to enjoy all the same features as you would in the daytime.

When you want to make calls on the smartwatch, you can do this by using the built-in speaker and mic, which lets you make calls on your wrist when paired with your smartphone and hear crisply, even when in busy, noisy environments.  One of the other key features of the new Garmin Fenix 8 watch, however, has to be the brand’s latest targeted strength training plans, along with a full range of sport-specific workouts to make sure you reach your goals exactly how you want to. You can monitor performance insights that enable you to build stamina and manage your exertion adequately, while the smartwatch’s training readiness features will guide you in terms of adequate recovery time between your workouts based on 24/7 stats. These stats show you everything from heart rate, stress, sleep activity and respiration rates, plus a whole load more.

When you’re out in the wild, the new Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch will guide you. It features built-in ABC sensors, as well as TopoActive maps. Together, these features provide you with dynamic round-trip routing information, so you’ll never go off track. This way, you can track your runs and rides, setting target distances for yourself and using the watch’s turn-by-turn technology to stay on track. The new Garmin Fenix 8 features GPS SatIQ, as well as built-in sensors that offer barometric altimeter, and gyroscope functions.

Off-grid adventures can be just as exciting thanks to the battery life of the new Fenix 8 smartwatch. The smaller 43mm model promises 10 days in smartwatch mode and 28 hours in GPS mode, while the larger 47mm model offers 16 days in smartwatch mode and 47 hours in GPS mode. The largest of all three models, the 51mm variant, offers 29 days in smartwatch mode and 84 hours in GPS mode. To help you reach new depths when exploring, the watch comes with a 40-meter water-resistant capability and comes equipped with leak-proof metal buttons that are easy to operate under slippery fingers. As expected of any modern Garmin smartwatch, there are additional features to enjoy in the design of the Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch. The models include Garmin Pay for easy contactless payments, and smart notifications that sync effortlessly with your smartphone while on the go. You can even use the voice assistant on your smartphone to respond to messages via your smartwatch, while the off-grid voice command feature lets you do all these things, even when your smartphone isn’t nearby.
