The NEW Certina DS-8 Ladies Watch Collection

Certina has released two new DS-8 Ladies watches for 2023. Each model is equipped with a PreciDrive quartz movement that is certified to chronometer standards. The new DS-8 watches from women feature luxurious yellow gold PVD-coated elements for a refined yet classic finish on the wrist.
The DS-8 watch collection is defined by Certina as a range of models that combine technical performance with a genuine sense of style. The range accommodates models for male and female fans of sporty rugged timepieces but is also home to classic and timeless dress watches. Other more complex models offer features like a moonphase display and have been set with diamonds for an indulgent and ultra-luxurious finish against the skin. The Certina DS concept

Equipped with a PreciDrive movement
One key element of the new ladies Certina DS-8 watches is its quartz movement, able to achieve chronometer-like accuracy. The PreciDrive movement from ETA has a thermo-compensation mechanism that incorporates ceramic components into its design. By doing so, the reliable and long-lasting movement can promise a high accuracy of 1/100th of a second. The appeal of the PreciDrive movement is leveraged by the Certina DS-8 watch’s affordability.
The new women’s Certina DS-8 Ladies watches for 2023
The two new releases for 2023 from Certina’s line of DS-8 watches for women are the reference C033.051.33.118.00 with a fully yellow gold PVD-coated stainless steel case and the reference C033.051.22.118.01 with a stainless steel case and a yellow gold PVD-coated bezel and stylish bi-colour bracelet. Both models measure a case width of 27.5mm and a mere height of 7.4mm making them perfect for slipping underneath the sleeve of professional or elegant office attire. The watches are equipped with 100-meter water resistance and are sealed with a glass top crafted from sapphire crystal. This ultra-strong material offers scratch-resistant and anti-reflective properties that make it perfect for referencing the time at a glance when caught under direct sunlight or artificial lighting.
There are several dial variants of the DS-8 Ladies watch from Certina. These two models present the time on an alluring mother-of-pearl dial that invites the light to dance upon its iridescent surfaces. Creating a stunning contrast alongside yellow gold coloured hour and minute hands and a needle-fine seconds hand. The hour track around the edge of this mother-of-pearl dial is also finished in a luxurious yellow gold colour and features circular markers on 11 out of the 12 locations. The 12 o’clock location is represented by a traditional yellow gold Roman numeral. Both dials are executed in the same way, with a discreet date window resting at the 6 o’clock location.
You can enjoy the full yellow gold PVD-coated version of the new Certina DS-8 Ladies watch on a matching five-link bracelet that secures to the underside of the wrist with a clasp that gives the timepiece a jewellery-like finish on the wrist. The bi-colour version, with a bracelet crafted from stainless steel with mixed yellow gold PVD-coated links also secures in the same way. The caseback of each model also bears the instantly recognisable turtle logo that has come to be associated with Certina’s world-renowned craftsmanship.
