Meet the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Ruby Red Watch
Monday - 03 July 2023
Ruby red is the new colour chosen by experts at TAG Heuer for the latest Aquaracer Professional 200 model for men. The rich colour is inspired by the intense red tones of Autumn and fiery red sunrises.
The TAG Heuer collection itself has been around since the 1970s and is without a doubt one of the industry’s main players in the dive watch category. For many, the Aquaracer won’t have been the first model they came to know, since TAG Heuer is so widely renowned for other classic models like the Carrera and the Monaco. That’s not really a problem for TAG Heuer though, since the Aquaracer is such a strong design. It is only by exploring the brand’s iconic models yourself that you can fully appreciate its catalogue full of designs that are consistently strong and timeless. TAG Heuer has been continually growing the Aquaracer range and changed its name to the “Professional” range a couple of years back. Within the range is one of the most technical pieces of all - the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph, governed by a solar-powered movement.
The Evolution of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer watch
In 2021, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer generation grew further with the Professional 300 models. They still featured the instantly recognisable 12-sided bezel, but with a colourful ceramic-filled centre, along with a fluted design that would aid a better grip. The internal tooth profile of the bezel was also redesigned and the model’s anti-reflective and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass front was upgraded with a magnifying lens above the date window, which had also been relocated to 6 o’clock. This newly designed bezel also influenced the hour markers of the dial – now executed in an octagonal shape as opposed to circular.
Other modifications like a chunkier sword-shaped hour hand and a narrower minute hand were present, accentuating the difference between both old and new models. During the night, different coloured luminous material also enables you as the wearer to differentiate between the two – blue for the minute hand and green for the hour hand to match the hour markers. The Aquaracer Professional watch’s case is also thinner for enhanced comfort on the wrist, whilst the stainless steel bracelet has also been slimmed down without affecting its robustness or its ergonomic design. Soon, the Aquaracer Professional 200 watch followed with the same modifications but with a 200-meter water-resistant capability as opposed to the 300-meter water resistance.
You can now enjoy the Aquaracer Professional 200 watch in various different dial colours including blue, green and the more classic silver and black. Now the Swiss brand captures the beauty of the rising sun in the mornings and the red leaves of Autumn with the new WBP2114.BA0627 model, giving collectors yet another excuse to extend their collection in time for the Fall.
The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer professional 200 ruby red watch
The ruby red tones of the new Aquaracer Professional 200 watch are nothing short of entrancing. The captivating watch has a palpable beauty with lateral lines running from left to right across the display as seen in all other iterations of this sub-series. Still as functional as ever, the new red dive watch from TAG Heuer comes in a 40mm stainless steel case topped with sapphire crystal glass and is fitted with a closed steel caseback that bears the iconic diver helmet logo associated with the Aquaracer series. The new ruby red Aquaracer watch also features a screw-down crown marked with the brand’s logo for enhanced water resistance, not to mention a superior 200-meter water-resistant capability for plenty of hours snorkelling, exploring the waves and water sports with friends. The watch’s unidirectional rotating bezel, designed to rotate only in the counter-clockwise direction for diver safety, has been executed in brushed silver with clear markings provided for the 60-minute diving scale.
The smoky sunray brushed dial in ruby red is complimented by Super-LumiNova coated hands and hour markers in the same green and blue proportions as mentioned. In this design, the triangular marker on the rotating dial does not illuminate in blue but the seconds hand does feature a splash of blue colour to enable you to locate it easily in the dead of night. The pressure-proof stainless steel material chosen for the design of this new Aquaracer Professional 200 watch continues into the tapering bracelet, which encloses with a folding clasp and a push-button mechanism.
When you purchase the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 ruby red watch, you get to enjoy the performance of the Calibre 5. The automatic movement beats at a rhythm of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of 38 hours when fully wound.
