Bronze is also chosen as an interesting alternative to the much more common stainless steel case. What’s more, it’s always a good thing to have a variation in colour amongst your luxury watch collection without relying too much on PVD and DLC coatings. Bronze is chosen for its resistance to corrosion and saltwater damage, making its use for the dive watch sector a justifiable one.
As far as dive watches go – they don’t need to be square and they don’t need to be bronze - but two key things that we love about this new Bell & Ross BR 03 92 Diver watch are that it’s square and bronze. The model measures a 42mm diameter and sits on the wrist at a depth of 12.05mm. The bronze case features a stainless steel caseback to prevent tarnishing of the skin and has been engraved with the recognisable dive helmet motif. Its 300-meter water-resistant case is fortified by a strong pane of anti-reflective and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass, along with a screw-down crown and crown protecting guard at 3 o’clock. As with all Bell & Ross dive tools, the new BR 03 92 Diver Bronze watch meets the ISO 6425 international standard for dive watches. The model’s instrument-esque rounded square-shaped case carries a sizeable presence and boasts sharply downturned lugs that lead to a black rubber strap. Whilst out of the water, however, the rich cocoa-brown-coloured distressed leather strap supplied in the presentation box is a great choice.

Based on the fighter jet platform of the 03 92 design, the new Bell & Ross BR 03 92 Diver Bronze watch is bold and luxurious, courtesy of its indulgent earthy brown-coloured dial. The watch is limited to 999 pieces worldwide and features radial and vertical brushed techniques applied to the top and sides of its case. A polished chamfered finish encircles the top edge of the case and the wedge-shaped crown guard features polished oversized screws with black-filled engravings. A rich coffee-brown anodised aluminium unidirectional bezel rotates in the counter-clockwise direction and features bronze coloured 60-minute markings.
Inside the case of the new Bell & Ross BR 03 92 Diver Bronze watch is the Calibre BR-CAL.302 automatic movement based on the Sellita SW300-1. It provides a 38-hour power reserve and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It provides a date function at 4:30 against an alluring chocolate brown display. Terraced baton hands combine beautifully with rounded applied diver indices – both of which have been treated with a generous helping of Super-LumiNova material. A polished and matte-blasted rose-gold plating across these essential elements on the dial adds a unique nuance to this instrument-inspired dive watch. Here, these rose gold accents excel, enhancing legibility with their warm, soft vintage-inspired colour palette.
