Montblanc’s Augmented Paper has completely changed the standard of taking notes by bringing the beauty of handwriting to the digital world. The elegant technology allows you to write on traditional paper yet record all handwritten notes and sketches straight to your mobile device so you can easily share, present and customise your work in digital form too.
Despite being renowned for their traditional manufacturing techniques, Montblanc have always exuded a digital prowess. Montblanc’s first digital series was unveiled in 2014 with the release of the Montblanc e-StarWalker and Pix, two custom mobile-ready styluses and digital writing devices for use with Samsung’s Galaxy Note. At first glance, Montblanc Augmented Paper looks like a sophisticated leather envelope which reveals a StarWalker ballpoint and a paper notebook inside. But what makes this technology so unique is carefully hidden beneath the paper, where the electronic digitiser records all strokes of the pen, whether that be the start of your novel, a sketch of your dream home or some funny doodles your friends will get a laugh out of. Once you have finished writing, your notes can be effortlessly transferred to a bespoke app and stored in digital form.
As well as being able to store your notes in your mobile device, the Montblanc Hub app associated with the Augmented Paper also allows you to edit, search and organise your notes, present your work on screen with Live Mode, share notes in different formats and customise notes by applying personalised templates. You can even convert your notes into digital text and then easily tag and search your handwritten notes for ease. You can also store up to 100 pages in the internal storage of the digitizer before needing to wirelessly transfer via the app.
On top of its impressive battery life of up to 2 weeks, each Montblanc Augmented Paper set comprises of a leather digitiser housed in a dust bag including a #146 lined black notebook, 1 Montblanc StarWalker Ballpoint Pen, 3 Meisterstück "Hommage à W.A. Mozart" small ballpoint pen refills, a USB cable, tweezers, quick start guide, safety manual and guarantee card. Once you have completely depleted the pages in the notebook, you can simply purchase notebook refills specially developed for Montblanc Augmented Paper.
