Anonimo Watches Review
Wednesday - 27 July 2016
A taste of Florence has arrived at Jura Watches in the form of Swiss watch brand, Anonimo. Founded in the beautiful Italian city in 1997, their unique designs were truly admired by industry professionals leading to a relocation to Switzerland. Here their Florentine heritage and Swiss craftsmanship has created stunning collections focused on a bold aesthetic and highly functional instruments.
Why choose Anonimo? Join us to uncover the unique features of Anonimo Watches and (quite literally) what makes them tick!
Brushed Dial
At first glance the textured dial stands out as an individual Anonimo trait. The light hand made brushed finishing creates a distressed, beautiful appearance to the Anonimo Militare collection. The effect is created through a classic manufacturing process of Swiss quality painting applied on a brass surface; an appropriate robust and rugged feel to the Military inspired timepiece. To improve vision the hands and indexes are coated with a swiss superluminova coating.
Leather Strap
Recognised for their dedication to high quality and reliability, Anonimo devices are the perfect companion for explorers, adventurers and professionals who push limits to the extreme. Mountaineers and divers are avid enthusiasts for the brand who can rest assured that the strap is secure, tough and ready for action. Remaining true to the Italian roots the brand chooses an exclusive leather that implements traditional techniques and natural products. The “fatto a mano in Italia” leather is durable and extremely comfortable on the wrist.
12 O’Clock Crown
An example of their unique and distinctive design approach is the position of the crown situated at 12 O’Clock. Secured in place by the mechanical pressure of the strap when fastened to the wrist, the crown is set and cannot be opened without intention. The position of the crown allows for more flex at the wrist in comparison to other locking systems.
Movements
Fine Swiss movements beat at the heart of all Anonimo models. Currently, self-winding movements by Sellita are fitted to each instruments - an independent Swiss producer formed in 1950 producing mechanical watch movements. Pulsing at a rate of 28,800 per hour or 4 Hertz per second and with a power reserve of 38 hours, the luxury brand guarantees precision.
The Bronze
Selective Anonimo cases are manufactured in bronze due to it’s incredible resistance to corrosion. Sculpted into works of art and to fit out ships, the metal is the perfect case making material. The slight surface oxidation shields from further attacks. The combination of copper and aluminium allows for bronze to have a natural and exclusive appearance that will develop over time; a work of art on the wrist that will age beautifully without loosing its high quality. A truly unique chronograph.
There you have it! Anonimo is an exceptional brand with a strong Florentine heritage paired with the finest Swiss watchmaking traditions.
