Junghans Watch Meister Collection Review
Monday - 29 February 2016
Winding through the country lanes in a beautiful Maybach DS8 Zeppelin admiring the incredible offerings of Switzerland is a sight to behold for the Junghans team. With the roof down and the wind in their hair there is no finer way to arrive at Baselworld 2016 with the Meister Driver Handaufzug making an appearance. However, the rest of the team begs to differ as they set to soar across the skies with the Meister Pilot at the helm. It appears Junghans have two very different models to present yet are equally as exquisite.
Eager to showcase three stunning designs, Junghans have tempted us with a little taster prior to Baselworld 2016. Two favour the beauty in the 1930s automative industry that boasts luxury, glamour and power whereas the opposing side fulfils an aviation fascination that promises to thrill, excite and delight.
Choose your side. Prepare for launch. Take to the road in the height of luxury or zoom into the skies………..The choice is yours!!!
Junghans Watch Meister Driver Handaufzug
Taking inspiration from grand 1930’s automobiles - the Maybach DS8 Zeppelin in particular - the colour palette oozes sophistication and luxury. The dove grey, dark grey and cream combination is both classically subtle and boldly attention seeking; a trait absorbed from the beautiful, charming vehicle that drives the stunning aesthetic of the timepiece.
Specifications: fixed bezel, leather strap, steel case, black dial, manual movement, 30M water resistance.
Price: £1,050
Junghans Watch Meister Driver Handaufzug
The second Meister Driver Handaufzug offers a slightly different outcome with the exact same influence. The dial adopts a more accurate reflection of a speedometer with the 5 minute intervals poised elegantly on the grey dial. The colour palettes presentation contrasts to it’s partner yet is equally stunningly delicate and beautiful.
Specifications: fixed bezel, leather strap, steel case, grey dial, manual movement, 30M water resistance.
Price: £1,050
Junghans Watch Meister Pilot
In the response to the success of the Meister Pilot Event Edition, Junghans launch the series model in time for Baselworld 2016. Absorbing design elements from the Junghans 1950s pilot watch and the stylish aesthetic of the Meister collection ensures that the edition is distinctive and the ‘perfect wrist-borne co-pilot.’ The model is available with either a black or brown leather strap.
Specifications: fixed bezel, leather strap, steel case, 43mm diameter, chronograph, date display, automatic movement, 100M water resistance.
Price: £1,870
