Breitling Transocean Chronograph GMT Watch Review
Thursday - 16 May 2013
The Breitling Transocean Chronograph GMT is available in two limited edition versions: steel (limited to 2,000 pieces) or 18kt rose gold (limited to 200 pieces). Both have a guilloché dial, in silver or black, with applied hour-markers and finely recessed counters.
The watch has a transparent sapphire crystal case back that reveals the Manufacture Breitling Caliber B04 movement, chronometer-certified by the COSC.
The self-winding chronograph Calibre B04 has a patented mechanism that powers a second timezone function. When the wearer arrives at a new destination, he simply has to pull out the crown and turn it forwards or backwards in one-hour increments to adjust to the time and date of the new timezone. A 24-hour home time indication is maintained throughout, along with a precise minutes display.
The Transocean Chronograph GMT has a 43 mm case with a convex sapphire crystal, glareproofed on both sides. It is water resistance to 100 metres, and comes with a Barenia leather, crocodile leather, or Ocean Classic steel mash strap.
