Oris Calobra Limited Edition Watch Review
Friday - 08 February 2013
The village of Calobra is "renowned for its weaving roads with breathtaking corners", and has been host to the Rally Clásico Isla Mallorca since 2005. The Oris Calobra Limited Edition celebrates the watchmaker's partnership with the rally, with a design inspired by the iconic cars that take part.
The two-piece dial has a silver mat dial ring with Tachymeter scale. A second display, based on the design of a car's dashboard, is placed at 9 o'clock, and a date window is at 6 o'clock. The Arabic numerals and nickel hour and minute hands are coated with SuperLumiNova for improved visibility.
The Oris Calobra Limited Edition has an engraved case back featuring the 'Nus de sa Corbata' corner (which translates as 'tie knot') to symbolise the unpredictable roads of the rally.
The timepiece is limited to 1,000 pieces, and comes with a black leather strap with contrasting red holes. Its special presentation box includes an additional rubber strap and a strap changing tool.
