Thursday - 29 November 2012
The annual Chrono Award sees Austrian business magazines 'Trend' and 'Format' select their favourite watches of the year. Readers of the magazines are known to be knowledgeable watch fans, and as a result the awards are presented based on reader reviews and opinions.
The readers viewed 111 watches for the Chrono Award 2012, voting for winners across six categories: First Class, Premium Class, Success Class, Business Class, Trendsetter, and Ladies Special.
The Mühle-Glashütte Terrasport II was awarded the top Trendsetter prize, after it was selected by the most readers. Hans-Jürgen Mühle, the founder of Mühle-Glashütte, and Harald Losert, the Mühle Representative for Austria, were presented with the award at an exclusive ceremony on November 16th 2012.
The Terrasport II is described by Mühle-Glashütte as "sporty and discreet". It has a 40 mm brushed stainless steel case, an anti-glare sapphire crystal, transparent case back and screw-in crown. The watch is powered by SW 200-1 automatic movement, modified in-house with woodpecker neck regulation. It is available with a black or cream dial, with numerals and hands coated in Super LumiNova, and a choice of stainless steel bracelet or leather strap.
