Fortis Limited Edition B-47 Mysterious Planets Watch Review
Monday - 15 October 2012
The B-47 Mysterious Planets has unique dial design based on the orbits of the five planets closest to the Sun. There are five windows on the dial representing the planets (Mecury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter) that display the hour at changing positions through a jumping hour disc. A central hand indicates the minutes.
The watch has a 47 mm polished steel case and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. It has a screw down glass case back, and features an engraving of the limited edition serial number. The Fortis logo appears on the crown.
The Fortis B-47 Mysterious Planets is powered by calibre F-2024 automatic Swiss movement with fine timing device and Incabloc shock absorber. Two versions of the timepiece are available: black or blue, each limited to 500 pieces. It comes with a black or blue rubber strap to match the colour of the dial, or a polished steel bracelet.
The limited edition timepiece was designed in collaboration with architect and designer Prof. Karsten Krebs, as part of the Fortis 100th anniversary celebrations. It is presented in a special box with an instruction manual, international warranty card and certification of limitation.
