GRAHAM has often been linked with large-cased watches and this latest 46mm model, the Silverstone RS GMT, proves to be no exception. This is an unashamedly male watch that brims with testosterone.
Where this watch excels is by offering a myriad of details to indulge the whims of both motorsport fans and frequent travellers.
Firstly, the watch is equipped with a flyback chronograph, proving highly useful for timing consecutive events e.g. lap times. The quilted strap is reminiscent of the seats found on high performance sports cars of the 1960s and will strike a chord with every petrolhead.
Secondly, the Silverstone RS GMT, as the name suggests, features an additional hand to display the home time, proving highly convenient when attending motorsport events in other parts of the world.
However, there is so much more to the specification of this watch which will appeal to those who avoid motorsport and seldom venture overseas.
The open-worked dial reveals the delightful motion of numerous internal parts integrating with each other to impart time. A big-date display unambiguously communicates with the wearer and the pushpieces proffer an abundance of tactile delight. Indeed, there are many gentlemen who will find this new watch from GRAHAM has much to offer, but with only 250 pieces planned, demand is likely to outstrip supply.
