Raymond Weil introduces their first-ever pilot watch entitled the Freelancer Piper.
The luxury brand has joined forces with legendary aviation manufacturer Piper Aircraft Inc. to fulfil the late founder’s passion. To increase readability for professional pilots the Freelancer Piper proudly presents a mechanical self-winding chronograph movement with date and GMT functions within the 45 mm titanium and stainless steel platform. Direct influences from the aviation muse are apparent within the coloured hands on the dial - the vivid blue minute and hour hands are chiseled to mirror that of an aircraft’s rotor blades and the striking red GMT indicator echoes a compass. Both colours stand out vividly against the black background. Other features that resemble the aviation alliance is the small seconds sub-dial positioned at 9 o’clock that is modelled on the altitude indicator and the punctured holes that embody the black leather strap is another direct aviation influence.
