Suunto Ambit3 Sport Watch Wins Good Design Award
Monday - 09 February 2015
Each year the Good Design award attracts several thousand submissions from manufacturers and design firms in more than 48 countries. Organised by the Chicago Athenaeum Musem of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, the prize celebrates excellence in consumer products.
The Suunto Ambit3 Sport was presented with a Good Design award for its "sleek design, advanced run, cycle and swim functions and its mobile connectivity".
Björn Bornemann, designer of the award-winning watch, said: "The Suunto Ambit3 Sport simplifies the appearance of our multisport watches. A sleeker and cleaner appearance makes no compromises on the demands of multisporters and triathletes. The new top ring opens up possibilities for bold colour design, and the new silicone straps fit all wrists comfortably and improve ergonomics. This watch looks great on the track and confident in the office as well."
The Ambit3 Sport has a range of useful outdoor functions, including full route navigation, barometric information, altimeter, storm alarm and sunrise/sunset. These Suunto watches can connect wirelessly to the wearer's iPhone, so the wearer's progress can be enriched and shared using the free Suunto Movescount App.
