Hamilton Khaki Takeoff Limited Edition Watch Review
Friday - 05 September 2014
Celebrating Hamilton's close cooperation with leading air squadrons and aerobatic pilot Nicolas Ivanoff, the Khaki Takeoff is a limited edition of 1,999 numbered pieces.
The timepiece takes inspiration from cockpit instruments with a bi-directional turning flange, driven by the bezel, which has the capacity to record a countdown. The case can be detached from the wristwatch and presented in a unique storage box.
The black and yellow colour scheme accurately reflects the appearance of its World War II ancestor, while the hands reflect the classic hands of traditional pilots' watches. A yellow, plane-shaped pointer appears on the chronograph second hand.
The Hamilton Khaki Takeoff is powered by the Hamilton H-31 movement with 60 hours of power reserve. It has a 46.3 mm stainless steel with black PVD case, and the crown is positioned at 12 o'clock for easy accessibility. Additional features include a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and water resistance to 50 metres.
