The timepiece has a heavy-duty multi-piece stainless steel case with a matt satin finish and a diameter of 44 mm. The coin edged top ring is inspired by an aircraft's powerful turbine jet engines.
The minute and hour counters are in red, enhancing legibility of the chronograph function against the black dial. A small second function at 9 o'clock is in white, while the yellow aeroplane tip indicates the time in a second time zone on the outer dial ring. The date is displayed between 4 and 5 o'clock.
The Oris Big Crown ProPilot Chronograph GMT is powered by the calibre 677 automatic mechanical movement. The textile strap has a unique patented folding clasp, based on the design of an aircraft safety belt. A stainless steel bracelet is also available.
The watch has a sapphire crystal, domed on both sides with anti-reflective coating inside, and a screwed case back with a see-through crystal. It is water resistant to 100 metres.
