TW Steel has celebrated the 40th anniversary of Emerson Fittipaldi becoming the first home driver to win the Brazilian Grand Prix with a new limited edition timepiece.
The TW Steel CEO Tech Emerson Fittipaldi Limited Edition is limited to 777 pieces, reflecting the two-time Formula 1 World Champion's lucky number. The watch has a sandblasted PVD black coated steel case, and a black dial with gold and green accents (inspired by the Brazilian flag). Fittipaldi's name appears on the green tachymeter scale, and his signature is featured on the case back.
The timepiece is powered by a Miyota 6S20 chronograph movement, and it comes with a black Italian leather strap with croco print.
"Emerson is a tremendous ambassador for TW Steel thanks to his amazing personality and worldwide popularity," said TW Steel CEO Jordy Cobelens. "He's truly a special person and as such we wanted to create an equally popular and luxurious timepiece to honour him. With just 777 pieces being produced, I have no doubt they'll be purchased quickly thanks to his appeal."
Fittipaldi said: "It's a beautiful watch but then I'd expect nothing less from my friends at TW Steel. It's a privilege to put your name to something that reflects your belief in both excellence and performance. I am sure my fans and watch lovers alike will appreciate the design accents we've used to make this watch relevant to me and my heritage. It's quite special to have a second TW Steel with my name attached to it, especially a limited edition as stylish as this!"
